Summer Reading Day 21: Today's book was befitting of the occasion, JJ's first birthday party! We chose The Best Birthday Ever by Me (Lana Kitten) by Charise Mericle Harper. It's actually a very sweet lesson in good party manners for birthday girls, which was a pleasant surprise. Very sweet!
Summer Reading Day 20: Today we had a guest reader, JJ's grandma, and a new book, Big Bear Hug by Nicholas Oldland. It's a cute book about conservation told through the story of bear who likes to give trees, well, big bear hugs. We enjoyed it!
Summer Reading Day 19: Today's book was Dad's First Day by Mike Wohnoutka, and we ADORED it. It's a very sweet story about a daddy not being ready to let his little boy go the school, and it reminded me so much of my hubby. Very cute and very funny.

Summer Reading Day 17: Today's book was Little Red by Bethan Woollvin, a cool retelling of Little Red Riding Hood in black, white and red. The story is tried and true but with a bit of a twist: (spoiler alert) Red rescues herself. JJ loved the pictures so much! We definitely recommend it.
