Hello, friends – long time no see!

After seven wonderful years of sharing our favorite picture books, we have come to the family decision that The Baby Bookworm will be retired in its current format.

When JJ’s dad and I discussed this blog at its start, there was one decision that was immutable: if JJ lost interest in the social media aspects of our book reviews, we would respect her wishes. Over the last year, she has consistently expressed that, while she still adores books and reading, she is no longer interested in doing review posts. Additionally, our baby bookworm recently turned nine, and is already moving on new adventures and challenges!

We feel that it’s our duty as parents to respect JJ’s decisions on her social media exposure, especially for a blog that revolved around her. This, in addition to new responsibilities and priorities in our family life, have led JJ and I to the decision to suspend our future reviews.

For those who enjoy reading our past reviews, not to fear: both our website and socials will remain up, and we will be periodically adding new resource guides and features on an unscheduled basis.

We want to thank all of our dedicated fans and followers, our wonderful creator, publishing, and marketing friends, and everyone else who has supported and engaged with our blog over the last seven years. We have been honored to share our love of stories and learning with all of you. Thank you for everything: you are all Baby Bookworm approved, and deeply appreciated. Happy reading!
