Women’s History Month: Women in STEM!

It’s been an exciting start to March this week, especially because it kicks off Women’s History Month! We’ll be posting all month about books that celebrate the contributions of women to our past, present, and future, and we’re starting with women in STEM!

There are so many amazing books that feature female scientific minds and how their work has changed the way we understand the world around us. These are a few of our recent faves: what are yours?

The High-Flying, Deep-Diving Adventures of Kathy Sullivan: Astronaut and Oceanographer by Diane Stanley, illus. by Jessie Hartland

Rock Star: How Ursula Marvin Mapped Moon Rocks and Meteorites by Sandra Neil Wallace, illus. by Nancy Carpenter

The Six: The Untold Story of America’s First Women Astronauts (Young Readers Edition) by Loren Grush with Rebecca Stefoff

Firefly Song by Colleen Paeff, illus. by Ji-Hyuk Kim

Thanks so much to Paula Wiseman Books, Margaret K. McElderry Books, and SimonKIDS for copies of these books!
