Book Mail: LEAVE ME ALONE! (Dr. Becky Kennedy, illus. by Joanie Stone)

How cute is this PR package? Tying into the themes of Dr. Becky Kennedy’s newest Good Inside picture book, we’ve been treated to a few goodies that can help kids and their grownups deal with those big feeling moments in productive and supportive ways.

Fans of Dr. Becky often call her the “parenting whisperer,” but she’ll often be the first to point out that her approach to helping children grow is simple: approaching conflict with the assumption that all of us are good inside, and that children have complex emotions, too.

Leave Me Alone! approaches these lessons through Pia, a “deeply feeling kid” who becomes overwhelmed with emotion after playtime takes a wrong turn. In a story that helps both kids and caregivers understand how deeply feeling kids can express and process these emotions—both negatively and positively—Leave Me Alone! gives readers of all ages a guidebook for when similar moments occur in their own lives.

Thanks so much to MacKids and Good Inside for sending us our gift pack!
