At last, our spooky series comes to a close! To wrap things up, we wanted to spotlight a few spooky favorites, brought to us by the Monstrous Classics series by Aladdin Books. Featuring collected works with striking redesigned covers, this series introduces the macabre tone of writers like Irving, Poe, Leroux, and more to a new audience of young adult readers.

The headless horseman is a favorite in our house, so it was a lot of fun to revisit this story, as well as Irving’s other classics like “Rip Van Winkle” and “The Specter Bridegroom.” These attractive titles look great on our bookshelf and can be revisited time and time again.
