Where’s Waldo?: The Magnificent Movie Spotlight Search by Martin Handford

Unsurprisingly, the Where’s Waldo? books continue to be a favorite amongst young readers nearly forty years after they were first published! And having played with the newest title in the series, it’s easy to see why.

Especially fun in this iteration is the “spotlight” magnifying glass, which is more than a fun gimmick; I found that it actually helped visual focus, making this a great version for little ones who may be overwhelmed with the classic books.

(Don’t go think that it makes the Waldo detach any easier, though—it still took me a good fifteen minutes to find the little scamp, and he’s one of only five characters to find on each spread.)

Thanks to Candlewick for sending this one my way!
